A Practical Signal-Driving Solution for Embedded and Industrial Projects
Many embedded systems use 3.3V GPIO signals, including Arduino-compatible controllers, ESP32 boards, Raspberry Pi platforms and NVIDIA Jetson systems. However, the devices being controlled may require a different voltage level, a higher output current, or a different NPN/PNP logic configuration.
The Eletechsup OPMSA04, OPMSB08, OPMSC12 and OPMSD16 series provides a compact way to interface control signals with external DC loads.
Four Models for Different Channel Requirements
-
OPMSA04: 4-channel signal amplifier for compact projects.
-
OPMSB08: 8-channel option for systems with more control points.
-
OPMSC12: 12-channel option for multi-output applications.
-
OPMSD16: 16-channel option for higher-density control systems.
The series offers configurable NPN/PNP input and output options, optocoupler-isolated inputs, MOSFET-based non-contact outputs and individual channel status LEDs. The product specifications list switching times of 1 ms or less and a maximum switching frequency of 2 kHz.
Potential Applications
1. Embedded GPIO Signal Driving
Use a suitable OPMS-series configuration to interface low-voltage controller signals with compatible external DC loads. Always verify the selected input version and output polarity before connecting the hardware.
2. Short-Pulse Output Control
For projects that require brief output pulses, the MOSFET-based design may be worth evaluating. A published Eletechsup technical inquiry describes a proposed NVIDIA Jetson AGX application using 3.3V control signals and a target 12V, 1.2A pulse lasting 2 ms.
This is a useful example of an engineering requirement—not confirmation of a completed deployment. The actual pulse shape, load current, thermal behavior and switching performance should be tested with the intended circuit.
3. Multi-Channel Automation
The 4-, 8-, 12- and 16-channel options help engineers choose a board based on the number of signals in their design. Potential applications include test fixtures, indicator control, low-voltage DC actuators and custom automation equipment.
Check the Electrical Limits Before Ordering
The published specifications list different current limits for different output voltage ranges: below 2A at 3.3–4.5V, below 4A at 4.5–8V, and below 5A at 8–24V. These figures should not be interpreted as a guaranteed continuous current rating for every channel under every condition.
Before selecting a model, confirm:
-
Input signal voltage and NPN/PNP polarity
-
Required output polarity and load supply voltage
-
Continuous current, peak current and pulse duration
-
Switching frequency and load characteristics
-
Heat dissipation, wiring and installation requirements
Inductive loads may require additional suppression. For safety-critical or high-current equipment, validate the complete circuit before deployment.
Choose the Right Eletechsup OPMS Model
Whether you need four outputs for a compact controller or sixteen channels for a larger embedded system, the OPMS series offers several channel-count options in a common product family.
