RT38B01 FAQ
Hello.
I just bought 5 pieces of RT38B01 to use with my PTZ Cameras. I would you to confirm that my connection is correct since so far there is no transmission.
TRANSMISSION
1. PTZ Software Control Software
2. Waveshare RS485-USB Converter
3. RT38B01 (terminal + and -
RECEIVE
4. RT38B01 (terminal + and -)
5. PTZ Camera
The cameras are not responding. Could it be that my connection is wrong?
Could it be that the transceivers need power through a third cable?
Answer :
The vin gnd interface is not connected to power.
The following debugging is also required: 1 Use the serial port assistant to test the direct transmission and reception of the two modules. 2 Ensure that the serial port parameters of the bottom device are 9600 n 8 1
Question :
Hi. The transmission side has responded, but only after connecting all four terminals (A, B, GND and VIN) to the corresponding terminals on the USB converter. After that it blinks and responds correctly.
But the camera side has only three terminals (A, B and GND), no VIN. Could it be why the Receiver module does not power on and respond?
