RT5BF01 FAQ

I need to know how I can use a PLC and a PC connected to RT5BF01 V2 RS485  to send and receive signals to 2 units of a N4RFA04 wireless.

I’m sure I can get them connected wirelessly.

I need to know what I need to do to send a signal from RT5BF01 to open and close the 4 contactors of the N4RFA04, using a pc/plc
Then I need to recv’ feedback on the RT5BF01 from the N4RFA04’s 4 inputs on my PC/PLC

I have 2 N4RFA04’s connected to ea. other,  and can do this back and forth now. I need to know how to do it with the RT5BF01 . Here is a link to a video of this.

RT5BF01 can control 2 N4RFA04
1 The "Frequency Band" of RT5BF01 and N4RFA04 must be the same
2 Set different RS485 addresses for the 2 N4RFA04
3 RT5BF01 connects to the computer via USB to RS485
4 RT5BF01 sends commands to control N4RFA04
5 At this time, the 2 N4RFA04 cannot communicate with each other

 

Question :

RT5BF01 can control 2 N4RFA04

3 RT5BF01 connects to the computer via USB to RS485 ok, computer and or Siemens PLC?

4 RT5BF01 sends commands to control N4RFA04 What are the commands to control the relays? Also for feedback on the inputs from N4RFA04 how does it read these?

 

5 At this time, the 2 N4RFA04 cannot communicate with each other. My video shows the 2 communicating back and forth, an input from the one actuates the contactor on the other and vice versa.

 

Answer : 

 

1 “computer and or Siemens PLC?” Either computer or PLC with RS485 interface is fine. However, it is recommended to use computer for debugging first.
2 “Also for feedback on the inputs from N4RFA04 how does it read these?” Read the input port of N4RFA04 regularly.

This is because you have enabled the remote IO function of N4RFA04. If you use RT5BF01 to control N4RFA04, you must disable the remote IO function of N4RFA04, otherwise there will be conflicts.
